For a Leading Dry Bulk Shipping Company: Accountant
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards
Conduct regular financial audits and reconciliations
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and MGA logistics
Prepare and submit internal and external financial reports, including management reporting
Ensure compliance with Greek Law 89 and other regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors for smooth financial operations
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Maintain and update the accounting system, including Benefit software
Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and decision-making
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a shipping company
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Knowledge of Greek accounting law (Law 89) and standard reporting procedures
Experience in payments, and financial reporting
Experience in MGA logistics and coordination with operational departments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of English, both oral and written
Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
