One of our companies is currently looking for a Business Development Manager in Hungary.
We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to expand B2B relationships and accelerate growth across the Hungarian travel market. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background and deep knowledge of travel industry dynamics. You’ll be responsible for signing new partners, managing key accounts, optimizing performance, and representing the company at industry events. You’ll work remotely but will frequently be on the move, engaging with partners and prospects to build long-lasting, high-impact relationships.
Accountabilities:
- Drive sales activities and meet growth targets within the assigned region
- Identify, approach, and onboard new partners (travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs)
- Deliver in-depth training and ongoing support to new and existing clients
- Maintain and grow strategic relationships with a portfolio of B2B partners
- Execute commercial deals, manage contracts, and ensure proper documentation flow
- Monitor compliance with partnership terms, including payment and operational performance
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and in-person meetings (approx. 30% travel)
- Analyze market trends and competitors to refine business strategies
- Report activity and performance metrics using CRM and internal systems
- Initiate and manage API-based partnerships where applicable
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience in the travel industry, or 3+ years in B2C travel sales/tour operations
- Solid understanding of the Hungarian travel market and B2B travel networks
- Fluency in Hungarian and English is required
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for client meetings and events
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making mindset
- Proactive, ambitious, and results-oriented with a passion for innovation and technology
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
- Experience in managing API integrations is a plus
- Ideally based in or near Budapest
