
Job Purpose:
As a Cashier at Vivo Energy Madagascar, you will be responsible for handling all cash transactions efficiently and accurately. Your primary duties will involve processing payments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded properly in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Reconcile Cash Register on a daily basis ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and recorded in the system.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or queries related to receipts and allocations
- Assist the finance team in clearing outstanding bank reconciliation items on a daily basis
- Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to resolve queries related to receipts and allocations
- Ensure cash orders are released in line with the MoA on a timely basis
- Ensure proper filing of all documents pertaining to cash tasks
- Ensure that all required balance sheet reconciliations / Goal Zero reports are provided as per agreed deadlines each month
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Comply with all safety, security, and cash handling procedures.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
- Proven experience in cash handling or a similar role
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software
- Sound knowledge of ERPs and Microsoft Excel tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Accounting Knowledge / Mathematics
- Strong Customer Service Skills
Fixed term contract of 12 months
