Physical Requirements |
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time and occasional job-related travel. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Shift |
Monday through Friday; 7:00am – 3:30pm; with occasional holiday, weekends, and on-call per departmental needs.

Job Summary |
The Central Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for 24 hour accountability of the UKHC enterprise flexible scope reprocessing services. This includes supervision of staff and oversite of scope handling from cleaning, storage and distribution of all HLD locations. The Sterile Processing and High Level Disinfection Manager is responsible and accountable for the provision of day to day leadership, management and development of Central Sterile services, developing efficient and cost effective delivery of surgical instrumentation including scopes, and production of high quality patient outcomes. The manager will cooperate, support and participate in organizational and departmental goals to assure that those goals and objectives are achieved. In addition this position will work with department leadership to assure accurate case carts, accurate instrument sets, timely turnaround of equipment and instrumentation to assure clean, sterile and useable instruments, including reconciliation of scope inventory. The manager is responsible for staffing, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement as well as developing and directing department specific supervisors to assure essential support. This position will also set priorities for strategic Perioperative Services associated with essential CS expectations.
