About The Role
We’re seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our dynamic and growing mortgage team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our global team to deliver outstanding service and tailored financial solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review client documents to assess completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lender policies.
- Assist customers through the stages of their mortgage application including initial fact find, application submission, valuation, and approval.
- Conduct preliminary credit analysis in line with Australian lending standards and internal guidelines.
- Perform servicing analysis and assessments for mortgage applications including verify customer income and expense information, calculate key ratios to determine borrowing capacity and ensure applications meet lender servicing criteria.
- Prepare application packs for submission to lenders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with mortgage brokers and clients to follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, notes, and workflow updates in CRM systems.
- Flag high-risk applications or unusual financial scenarios to the Team Lead for review.
- Assist in implementing best practices to improve processing speed and accuracy.
- Support team training initiatives by sharing knowledge and learning from peers.
Requirements
Required Experience:
- 1 year of experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or a similar role.
Favorable Experience:
- Up to 3 years of experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or a similar role (Australian mortgage is preferred).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Understanding of mortgage products, credit reports, income analysis, and loan documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with CRMs and cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
- Eagerness to learn about the Australian mortgage industry and regulatory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
