About the Role:
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, financial integrity, compliance with regulations and effective cost control. This role provides accurate financial information and analysis to guide strategic decisions and improve overall business performance.
Reporting to: MD & Finance Director.
Requirements
- Supervise day-to-day accounting and control activities.
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance and training
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, VAT, and other local obligations
- Prepare and present the monthly management reporting package, analyzing financial data and KPIs to support business planning and decision-making,
- Monitor cash position, accounts receivable, and collections
- Oversee and control payment plans
- Prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Ensure compliance with all tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors and external stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard the company’s financial assets.
- Support cash flow management, treasury functions and banking relationships.
- Lead or support ERP/accounting system improvements and automation initiatives.
What Will You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is a strong plus.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology, telecom, or services sector.
- Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards, taxes and IFRS.
- Experience with financial planning, analysis and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of taxation, payroll and financial compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
