Ubisoft is looking for a Game Analytics Team Lead to join the Canadian analytics team (CAT), which is part of Ubisoft's central production. The main mission of this team is to create the best game experiences by placing player behaviors and motivations at the heart of the design process. It achieves this by providing in-depth player analyses to guide decision-making, combining cutting-edge qualitative and quantitative approaches across various methodologies and data sources.
The Game Analytics Team Lead will implement analytical best practices within the Montreal/Quebec studio. The primary objective will be to promote and grow the use of data in games. With their team, they will support production stakeholders to translate their gameplay-related questions into actionable quantitative analyses of player behavior. They will also adopt an exploratory approach to develop techniques addressing new challenges and inspiring innovative solutions. Finally, they will contribute to the development of the team's knowledge and skills on cross-cutting topics and participate in the growth of Ubisoft's analytics community.
Role responsibilities:
- Design and evolve relevant, actionable key performance indicators (KPIs) for the studio.
- Build statistical and predictive models to enhance game performance analysis.
- Standardize and harmonize KPI frameworks to ensure consistent performance comparisons.
- Promote analytics best practices through knowledge sharing and community building.
- Recommend improvements to the studio's tools, processes, and data pipelines.
- Evaluate and guide the development of analytical talent within the organization.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Publishing, Marketing, and People Analytics teams.
- Recruit and develop a high-performing analytics team aligned with strategic objectives.
- Define goals, mobilize the team, and supervise day-to-day operations.
- Coach team members and monitor their performance to drive continuous growth.
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of statistical approaches and methods such as sampling, Machine Learning and A/B testing.
- Proficiency with analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python and SQL.
- Solid understanding of IT concepts such as data management and software development.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Capacity to drive change for cross-functional projects.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
