Hotel Manager
for Eliamos Villas Hotel & Spa in Kefalonia
The Hotel Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the property.
The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of hotel operations, a positive attitude, and the ability to oversee all operational activities and departments to maximize revenue, enhance guest experiences, and foster a team environment focused on learning and mentorship.
Preopening experience is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable while achieving team and brand goals.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures regarding personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety.
- Maintain and improve property standards and service to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold the brand's public image.
- Develop the annual budget and capital expenditure plans.
- Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing costs with guest satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit operational results/reports to the corporate office/owners on a timely basis.
- Ensure hiring and employee practices comply with company requirements.
- Select, train, and mentor department supervisors and other associates.
- Remain highly visible and available for guests at all times.
- Implement and promote the brand's service culture throughout the team.
- Support team members to ensure all tasks are completed daily.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Education and experience in hotel management or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two to three years of management experience in a hotel setting.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including a good understanding of revenue generation and profit/loss implications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&L statements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment while remaining courteous and tactful.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with management, associates, guests, and the general public.
- Excellent guest relation skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated and dedicated, capable of working independently.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with hotel management software.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
