Position Overview
As an HR Specialist based in Spain, you will play a crucial role in delivering operational and strategic HR support across the business. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Spanish labor laws, driving HR initiatives aligned with company objectives, and supporting managers and employees in all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role is ideal for a hands-on, adaptable professional with a strong understanding of local HR practices and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR administration including employee records, contracts, leave, and benefits in accordance with Spanish labor law.
- Maintain HRIS data and ensure reporting accuracy across all relevant metrics.
- Support payroll processes by coordinating with finance or external providers.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and employee relations matters.
- Provide guidance to managers and staff on local employment legislation and company policies.
- Ensure HR practices comply with Spanish labor law (Statute of Workers’ Rights and collective agreements).
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support recruitment and selection processes for roles in Spain.
- Coordinate interviews and onboarding logistics for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company.
- Contribute to employer branding and local hiring strategies.
Performance Management & Development
- Support performance review processes, probation management, and ongoing feedback initiatives.
- Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning opportunities for employees.
Culture & Engagement
- Promote a positive working environment aligned with company values.
- Help implement employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
Compensation & Benefits
- Provide input into salary benchmarking and benefits offerings aligned with local market standards.
- Assist with annual compensation review processes.
HR Projects
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects such as restructures, change management, and policy rollouts.
- Support M&A-related integration tasks when applicable.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in an HR generalist/specialist role, ideally in a multinational or matrixed organization.
- Solid knowledge of Spanish labor law and HR practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in Spanish; strong English proficiency required.
