**IS Resource Manager**
**Location:** **RG7 4PR**, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with **free onsite parking**.
**Package: £50,060 - £70,000**(depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
**Working pattern:** AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.
**Clearance Level:** You will need to obtain and maintain **DV** security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. **The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 10 years in order to apply for DV clearance.**
_Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 2/3 days onsite per week._
**Let us introduce the role**
AWE is currently recruiting for a **Resource Manager** to support the **Chief Information Officer** group.
**Key Accountabilities:**
- Plan future resource requirements based on projected work, capability and impact of pipeline and levels of attrition.
- Manage the performance and development of individuals and the team to provide the skills required to ensure continuity of service delivery and manage talent to enable succession arrangements.
- Monitor the performance and resources within the sub function by analysing relevant management information (e.g., absence, retention).
- Develop and maintain a skills strategy mapped to the people plans produced by the SLT.
- Develop a training strategy to support the skills strategy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Proactive liaison with Leaders in IS, to understand requirements and facilitate effective resourcing decisions.
- Ensure compliance of Resourcing Policy and standards across the function.
- Deliver and maintain a complete Resource Plan to capture changes to supply or demand.
- In partnership with HR, develop and implement recommendations that ensure that skills/competency gaps are documented and fed into the appropriate processes, e.g. Succession and Talent frameworks.
- Understand Project/Programme changes and how they may impact the functional order book and thus Organisational shape.
- In collaboration with line managers, develop competency matrices for staff.
- Support line managers in succession and development planning.
- Liaise with other Resource Managers, sub/functions and services to provide key interfaces on resourcing issues.
- Provide ongoing support relating to Recruitment, Training and Development of the Business.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
**Who are we looking for?**
**We do need you to have the following:**
- Previous experience in Resource/Workforce Planning
- Working knowledge of the Workday ATS

- An understanding of the IT business area.
