Mō tēnei tūranga mahi (About the position)
We’re looking for a Mechanical Technician to bring some good energy to our transmission pipeline and biomethane facility (the first of its kind in Aotearoa!).
Working a part of our Field Operations team, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas transmission pipelines, third party pipeline owners and related processing systems including the Broadlands Injection Facility. This includes performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards, specifically focusing on the processing of biogas into biomethane and transportation of high-pressure natural gas.
Stakeholder engagement is an important aspect of this role - you'll be the main point of contact for Broadlands Injection Facility, issue and hold permits and work and work with a range of people across the motu.
You can expect to
This role covers the South Waikato and Bay of Plenty part of our pipeline, including the Broadlands Injection Facility. Working from home, as well as in the field, you can also expect to spend time at our Hamilton offices, and across the beautiful North Island.
Ko wai koe (About you)
As well as being an awesome team member who brings a 'can do' attitude and good energy to everything you do, you'll also leverage your relationship management skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
You are mechanically minded with a process background, relevant trade qualification and 6+ years hands-on experience to match. You have an understanding of P&IDs, isolations and ideally 3+ years experience in the energy or similar industry (gas, power generation, chemical processing etc.).
Bonus points if you have Limited Electrical, or Electrical registration with knowledge of instrumentation and control.
An ability to work independently as well as part of our dispersed team is important, along with a full, clean driver's licence. Your strive for continual improvement, developing yourself and others as you share your expertise, particularly with apprentices.
