<p>AstroPay is seeking a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead its AML/CFT function across two regulated Isle of Man entities: AstroPay Global (IOM) Limited (Class 8 sub-classes 2(a) and 4 licenceholder) and AP Digital (IOM) Limited (registered designated business). This pivotal role requires a resident Isle of Man candidate who meets the IOMFSA’s Fitness and Propriety standards and will be registered as a Controlled Function (R15).</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<p><strong>Leadership & Oversight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Act as MLRO and lead the IOM compliance team.</li>
<li>Provide strategic oversight of AML/CFT programs and ensure a high-performance culture.</li>
<li>Develop and deliver regular compliance training to local staff.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>AML Framework & Monitoring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain and enhance AML/CFT policies, controls, and procedures.</li>
<li>Lead the Compliance Monitoring Program and ensure alignment with evolving regulations.</li>
<li>Oversee control testing, quality assurance, and ongoing program improvements.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Customer Risk Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise high-risk customer reviews and CDD/EDD processes.</li>
<li>Oversee sanctions screening and PEPs monitoring.</li>
<li>Ensure robust documentation and escalation protocols for financial crime risks.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Investigations & Reporting</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct complex investigations and prepare SARs for submission via Themis.</li>
<li>Serve as the main point of contact for the IOMFSA and handle all regulatory communications.</li>
<li>Maintain STRIX statistical reporting and present findings to senior management.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Collaboration & Technology</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Advise business units on AML matters and support cross-functional compliance initiatives.</li>
<li>Evaluate and maintain AML tech tools; recommend improvements to drive efficiency.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Core Competencies and Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years AML/CTF compliance experience, ideally in FinTech or payment services</li>
<li>Must meet IOMFSA's Controlled Function criteria (integrity, competence, capacity, financial standing).</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience building and managing compliance programs.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Isle of Man AML/CFT legislation and regulatory landscape.</li>
<li>Proficient in risk assessment, with the ability to recommend appropriate controls.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience in dealing with regulators, auditors, and bank partners.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirables</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Spanish language skills (for LATAM collaboration).</li>
<li>Familiarity with AI/data analytics in compliance.</li>
<li>Experience with tools for purpose of screening, transaction monitoring and IDV</li>
