- Identify rights holders (publishers and record labels) of musical works, draft proposals and follow up on requests, from sending proposals to receiving agreements.
- Track received agreements and license terms, and collect license-related items (audio files, lyrics, credits).
- Develop trusted relationships with internal partners (legal, marketing, production) and external partners (record labels, publishers), and suggest new partners when needed.
- Ensure rigorous archiving of licenses in internal tracking tools, and coordinate with the administrative coordinator to guarantee payment tracking and contract finalization.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you have initial experience in a similar role in the music industry (record label, music publisher, rights management), the video game industry or a similar industry (TV, film, etc.), preferably in an international environment. You will bring experience such as:
- Good knowledge and understanding of copyright related to music publishing and recording.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
- Autonomy, rigor and initiative, with the ability to propose relevant ideas within the team.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, structure processes and coordinate contributions from others.
- Solution-oriented approach, with strong resilience in the face of unforeseen events and challenges.
- Fluent written and spoken English, essential for international exchanges.
- Strong interest in the video game and production world is an asset.
