Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This critical care role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for complex neurological patients, adhering to specialized standards of practice. The RN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, individualized care using established nursing models, serving as a vital advocate for patients and families to ensure an unparalleled patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate specialized nursing care in the Neuro ICU, managing patients with complex and critical neurological conditions.
- Perform procedures, intensive monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
- Educate patients and families regarding non-medicinal follow-up measures (e.g., diet, exercise, disease prevention) to prepare them for self-management.
- Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance exceptional care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes recovery.
- Serve as an active advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, consistently modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years) is required.
- Higher-level acuity experience (e.g., ICU, PCU) is preferred; however, strong Med/Surg candidates will be considered.
- Prior experience in a Neurology or Neuro ICU setting is highly desirable.
Certifications/Licenses
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license is required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS - AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
