Under
the direction of the staff pharmacist and pharmacy supervisor, the Pharmacy
technician assists in all technical aspects of prescription filling and
dispensing activities, within the scope of their license.  Duties include processing, filling and
dispensing prescriptions as well as inventory management, medication
delivery at bedside, prior authorization, TARs SARs, Mailout process

Salary range: $25.03-$30.50 Hourly

Under the direction of the staff pharmacist
and pharmacy supervisor, the Pharmacy technician assists in all technical
aspects of prescription filling and dispensing activities, within the scope of
their license. Duties include processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions
as well as inventory management. 
Knowledge of pharmaceutical generic and
trade names and their dosage forms, and the ability to cross-reference common
drugs from memory.
Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations.
Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations.
Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal
supervision.
Telephone and verbal skills required to communicate clearly and effectively
with pharmacists, nurses, physicians and other allied health professionals.
Requires intense and consistent concentration with attention to detail, and
requires speed and accuracy.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to
stand, sit, and walk.
Requires ability to lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs.
Customer service, and problem solving skills
CA Pharmacy Tech license required
