About the team
The People and Organisational Development (POD) team leads the organisation’s efforts to build a skilled, inclusive, and values-driven workforce. Its core responsibilities include human resources management, staff development, performance systems, and employee engagement. The team also plays a key role in advancing Safeguarding, Gender Mainstreaming, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)—ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment for all staff.
The POD team operates within the Operations Directorate and is led by the Director, People and Organisational Development, who provides strategic oversight to align people-focused initiatives with the organisation’s mission and values.
About the role
As a key member of the POD department, this position is responsible to cultivate a thriving and supportive work environment by spearheading initiatives focusing on employee engagement, wellbeing, relations, and people/HR related generalist responsibilities. This role plays a pivotal part in nurturing a culture where employees feel valued, motivated, and supported in achieving their professional and personal goals delivering results. By supporting in the design and implementations of the people related appropriate interventions to enhance employee engagement and well-being, s/he will contribute to the organization's overall success and sustainability.
Overall, the job purpose of this role is to drive organizational excellence by promoting a culture of engagement, wellness, and inclusivity through effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork that empowers employees to thrive and contribute to achieving the organization's mission and objectives successfully.

The responsibilities outlined above may be subject to periodic review and revision in consultation with the line manager.
To be successful, you will need:
Education: An Advanced University Degree in Human resource Management/Management /Public Administration or relevant subject. Advance studies in Organisational Development or relevant subject will be preferred.
Experience: Minimum 02 years demonstrated experience in Human Resource (HR)/People functions. Sound knowledge on contemporary HR practice and processes, current HR trend, terminologies etc. and demonstrated expertise on their application in professional career. Working experience in a culturally diverse international organizations will get preference.
Skills and knowledge: Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, regulations and through knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Law is must. Proven experience on employee engagement and wellness initiatives. Professional experience related to staff development activities and facilitation will be preferred. Excellent presentation and persuasive communication skills. Expertise on MS word, excel, power point and HR related software/programme is essential. Knowledge on Safeguarding would be an added advantage.
