About the Role
We are looking for a Product Owner responsible for maximizing the value of Snappi’s digital banking products. Working within a cross-functional Agile team, the Product Owner will define product outcomes, manage the product backlog, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and ensure the team delivers high-value increments aligned with Snappi’s product vision.
Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Translate the product vision into clear, outcome-driven objectives for your product area.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, business priorities, and regulatory constraints within digital banking and BaaS.
Backlog & Delivery Ownership (Core PO Responsibilities)
- Own, prioritize, and continuously refine the Product Backlog based on customer value, business objectives, risk, and technical input.
- Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood by all stakeholders and the delivery team.
- Make daily trade-off decisions based on value, effort, dependencies, and risk.
- Work closely with Engineering and Design to clarify requirements and ensure shared understanding.
Product Discovery & Customer Value
- Validate problems and solutions through data, insights, research, and experimentation.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, Risk, Compliance, and other teams to shape features that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor performance metrics to guide future backlog priorities and identify value-creation opportunities.
Stakeholder Alignment
- Communicate product goals, priorities, and decisions to internal stakeholders (Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Engineering, Senior Management).
- Serve as the single accountable voice for product decisions during sprints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during refinement, reviews, and planning sessions—without performing project management tasks.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze product data, feedback, and market trends to inform backlog evolution.
- Proactively identify areas where new capabilities or improvements create business value.
- Stay informed about emerging technology, fintech trends, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role within digital banking, fintech, or digital products.
- Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Solid understanding of digital banking products, customer journeys, and regulatory considerations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to translate complex problems into structured product backlog items.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform product decisions.
