
Job Purpose:
The role of the position is to ensure the supply of White Products, bitumen, and lubricants essential to the company’s activities while managing costs effectively.
The Supply Manager will need to provide the company with inventory that aligns with the needs expressed by the BUSINESS and ensure a good quality-price ratio.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To manage all aspects of product supply, product receipt, storage of petroleum products, Road & Rail; stock control management
- To manage short- and medium-term supply plan and imports for finished products
- Participate in exchange and service arrangements with industry and authorities in Guinea.
- To efficiently control product stocks within Gain/loss agreed limits.
- To monitor unit distribution cost as per agreed target.
- Manage internal partnerships with Retail, Supply and Business to Business
- Responsible for effective Risk Management: Depot Operations, Road transport, Oil Spill Response, Crisis Management and Depots Audits.
- To manage the Distribution Capex and maintenance budgets within established limits and HSSE standards in line with Distribution Master Plan whilst optimizing unit costs per volume delivered.
- To represent and manage Vivo Energy’s interests on Supply issues with Group, competition regulatory authorities and other external bodies (Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Environment etc.).
- To efficiently manage Road Transport contractors and ensure a safe, reliable and cost effective distribution activity.
- Responsible for Business Assurance: Establish service level agreements with the businesses and distribution teams to ensure their compliance with Group business controls and self- appraisal of business processes.
- Ensure proper staffing through attraction, coaching and development of people, covering aspects like Diversity & Inclusiveness, Competences, Performance
- Management and Recognition & Reward
- To establish a pro-active HSSE culture and ensure awareness amongst staff and contractors.
- To ensure safety and security of all staff, contractors and company property at all times.
- Ensure contingency plans work and cover the risks of service disruptions
Key Challenges:
- Key challenges for the Supply Manager will be to maintain the correct resource base of adequately trained and qualified staff. To ensure that appropriate management systems and controls are in place, understood by the staff and complied with. Establish sound management of Road Transport and Supply activities.
- Maintain close liaison with marketing companies in scope, to influence change, institute best practices and improve distribution performance.
- Optimize operating cost and improve operating standards for both aviation depot (HRS) and main depot (pool MSSTT)
Requirements
Requirements:
- A strong distribution professional with a university degree, preferably in Engineering.
- Experience in Supply and Distribution activities, including Depot and Road Transport management.
- Self-motivated, mature professional with ability to work independently with minima supervision.
- Ability to analyses and develop proposals and solutions to a wide range of technical and operational problems.
- Ability to manage and integrate with others in different functions.
- Good communicator, both written and oral.
- Ability to manage and lead change.
- Demonstrable experience in managing government/stakeholder relationships
