We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive individual to join Minerva Marine Inc. as a Technical Assistant, to play a vital role in supporting the technical aspects of the company's fleet and maritime activities.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and organized technical records for existing vessels, equipment, and maintenance/reliability activities.
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Technical Manager, Technical Heads and Technical Superintendents.
Assist in all technical operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Assist in the coordination of technical tasks and support in studies and budget monitoring.
Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining the department’s files and processing paperwork, filing and retrieving documents, records, and reports.
Maintain updated Vessels Classification documents, certificates of Technical Department, Drydocking file (digital filing and Q88 platform).
Ensure proper maintenance of the team’s facilities and arrange for proper general needs (i.e. stationery, business cards, etc.)
Follow up administrative work for samples forwarding and monitoring.
Administrative task on PMS software (NSE of ABS and SAP ERP).
Requirements
A university degree preferably in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering, or in other related disciplines
Previous experience in a technical or administrative role within the maritime or shipping industry is preferred
Basic understanding of ship operations, maintenance, and technical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail
