<p>As a Legal Analyst you will be responsible for supporting our legal team particularly in the areas of conducting research, reviewing documentation, contracts, engagement terms, analysing complex legal information and summarising findings in clear, concise reports. This role is instrumental in allowing the Legal team and Xapo to make informed decisions.</p>
<p><strong><em>Responsibilities</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct in-depth legal research on a wide range of legal topics and areas of law.</li>
<li>Review legal documentation and information relevant to the Financial Services, Fintech, and Blockchain spaces. </li>
<li>Assessing and implementing standards relating to the consumer duty principle, financial promotion rules, and reviewing and assessing client facing communications. </li>
<li>Dealing with any issues that arise from a members’ perspective. </li>
<li>Analyse this information and provide concise reports based on findings.</li>
<li>Provide recommendations and sound legal advice based on research findings.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Skills needed</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience: 5+ years PQE within the Financial Services (primarily banking, payments and DLT) industry, with a Fintech and Blockchain focus ideally.</li>
<li>Qualification: UK qualified lawyer or equivalent but with practice and experience in the UK or Gibraltar.</li>
<li>Skills: Demonstrated analytical and research abilities. The capacity to analyse complex legal issues and conduct thorough legal research is crucial. This involves sifting through large amounts of information, and distilling it into something manageable and understandable.</li>
<li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to find creative solutions to complex legal problems. This requires innovative thinking and a proactive approach.</li>
<li>Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Technological Proficiency: Our work involves various technologies and infrastructure. Familiarity with these tools and ability to interact with a global team digitally is important.</li>
<li>Project Management: Ability to lead a project, interact across product, risk, finance and other teams within the group, and to have some business development skills.</li>

<p><strong>At Xapo, we prioritize consumer protection and adhere to regulatory requirements by ensuring that all Xapiens are accountable for upholding principles of fair treatment, transparency, and ethical conduct in their interactions with customers and stakeholders.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Xapo Device Policy<br></span></strong>Consultants joining Xapo Bank must comply with the Xapo Device Policy, which governs the use of corporate-approved laptops under Corporate-Owned, Personally Purchased Device (reimbursed up to $1,500) or Corporate-Owned, Personally Enabled Device (personal device with enforced security controls).<br>All devices must meet security requirements, enroll in Xapo’s Mobile Device Management (MDM), and adhere to compliance rules. COPPD devices remain Xapo property with buyback options upon exit. COPED users agree to data control measures, including mandatory corporate data wipes.<br>Compliance with the Xapo Device Policy is mandatory for all consultants, onboarding will not proceed without adherence to the policy.<strong><br><br></strong></p></div>
